[15 December, Aveiro]– In a productive meeting held on Thursday, December 14th, the European Network for Innovation in Higher Education Institutions (ENIHEI) discussed pivotal strategies and collaborations to shape its future trajectory.

The meeting, divided into two sessions, commenced with a comprehensive agenda that included critical discussions and decisions:

Session 1 Highlights:

1.- Internal Operation Regulation Draft: Deliberations centered on the previously shared internal operational regulations document. The draft will undergo further network-wide circulation for amendments and final approval at the upcoming meeting. (See Annex 1 for details)

2.- Communication Matters: An ENIHEI Introduction Kit was introduced, showcased a mock-up of the forthcoming website, and highlighted the network's LinkedIn page.

3.- Roadmap for 2024: Some discussions ensued, outlining key strategies for the upcoming year, including plans for specific working groups and identification of relevant events for ENIHEI representation in 2024.

4.- The decision was taken to hold the upcoming V ENIHEI Conference at Ca'Foscari University of Venice on May 30-31, accepting the invitation from Rector Tiziana Lipiello.

Session 2 Insights:

The second session saw deliberations surrounding a proposed application to the ERASMUS-EDU-2024-EUR-UNIV TOPIC-2 call for proposals. It was collectively decided not to pursue this call, aligning with the understanding that it caters exclusively to the establishment of a Community of Practice among all University Alliances. Instead, plans were laid to associate ENIHEI with a proposal led by the ECIU alliance while exploring adaptations of the proposal for other Erasmus+ calls, with consultations planned with the Commissioner's Office.

The session concluded with a succinct presentation by Prof. João Veloso on the innovation projects at the University of Aveiro.
